Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone made of silicon carbide. It's very hard (9.25 on the Mohs scale) and has strong brilliance and fire, so it keeps its sparkle with everyday wear.
Moissanite conducts heat a lot like a diamond, so it reads positive on most standard thermal testers. Multi-testers that also check electrical conductivity can tell the difference. We sell it as moissanite, always.
Green skin usually comes from brass or copper-heavy metals. This piece is solid sterling silver. [If plated: the finish adds a layer between the silver and your skin and slows tarnish.] Silver can darken slowly over time; wipe it with a soft cloth and store it dry.
